Description
The DRD 3020-LT is a new-generation 3-axis CNC machining center designed to deliver high performance with cost-effective operation.
Equipped with the Osai OPEN control system, the machine features a 3000 × 2000 mm Nesting working table.
The table can be configured with a vacuum system tailored to specific production requirements, with the possibility of installing several optional accessories, including a presetting system and positioning stop pistons for workpiece referencing.
The machine is equipped with an HSK 63 electrospindle rated at 12 kW and 24,000 RPM, air-cooled through an electric fan system.
It also includes a drilling unit consisting of 9 vertical outputs.
The 12-position rotary tool changer is mounted on the right side of the beam.
For X-axis motion, the machine uses two Delta EtherCAT brushless motors in GANTRY configuration, while the remaining axes are also driven by Delta EtherCAT brushless motors.
Technical features
STRUCTURE
Fixed-table, moving-gantry machine.
Equipped with an interlocked cabin positioned around the operating units, featuring triple-layer PVC safety strips to protect against ejection hazards.
The machine is fitted with a scanner positioned on the lower section of the bridge column to detect approaching personnel and stop the machining center movement.
The perimeter of the machining center is protected by a safety fence. Access to the area is granted through a gate whose opening immediately removes power from the drives and inverter.
WORKING TABLES
The machine is equipped with a 7000 × 3000 mm Nesting table.
The table consists of two layers of grid-pattern sandwich bakelite.

VERTICAL ELECTROSPINDLE
HSK 63 electrospindle, 12/14.4 kW – 24,000 RPM, liquid cooled, including a rotary axis (rotor) for angular positioning and interpolation.
The rotor axis is driven by a servo motor controlled directly by the CNC through a dedicated drive.
TOOL CHANGER
10-position rotary tool changer mounted on the front side of the vertical electrospindle.
EXTRACTION HOOD
Hood operated by pneumatic cylinders.
MOTION SYSTEM
Rack-and-pinion transmission for all linear axes.
Direct drive for rotary axes.
All axes are equipped with WITTENSTEIN gear reducers.
