FAT Project
The FAT Project (Automated Factory for Transformers) aims to develop a highly automated production process, in line with Industry 4.0 principles.

Since 1993, DRD has been manufacturing multi-axis machining centers and industrial automation systems for a wide range of industries, providing expert technical support and multi-brand spare parts.
While we are renowned specialists in woodworking, our CNC machine tools are also the preferred choice for processing plastics, resins, composites, metals, and textiles

At DRD, we offer a flexible approach: after an initial contact via phone or email, we determine whether to provide remote assistance or schedule an on-site technical intervention.
We provide advanced hydraulic control solutions for automatic, manual, and safety operations. Our systems manage critical service movements on board high-end superyachts across the world’s oceans.
Our solution is called ‘revamping’: renewing and enhancing existing machinery by integrating the latest technologies.
At DRD, we boast two specialized internal labs for electronic and mechanical servicing, ensuring high-quality and fast turnaround times.
We maintain a vast, constantly replenished spare parts warehouse, where you can find new components as well as obsolete or hard-to-find devices, all fully tested and—where necessary—refurbished by our team.
Through practical, on-the-job training, our experts collaborate with your team to ensure they can fully leverage the capabilities of the new machine. We turn technical training into an inspiring and empowering experience.

The Cryo-Therapy Freezer project aims at the design, prototyping, and industrial development of a device in two variants for medical and therapeutic applications based on a combination of different refrigeration energy technologies.
The RINASCITA project foresees the development of two new centrifuges for plastic recycling: a vertical one (CDV) for testing and optimization, and a horizontal one (CDO) with continuous flow, more advanced and scientifically relevant.
The project presented by DRD within the PR FESR Tuscany 2021–2027 program – Research, Development and Innovation for Investment Attraction, dedicated to the Advanced Application of Friction Stir Welding in the railway sector (FSI).
We have just added to our product range a new series of 5-axis pantographs, and we will soon introduce a series of 3-axis machines as well.
From the specific needs of one of our clients and the meticulous work of our technicians and engineers, the new “DRD-SP” machine range was born.
Last October 9th, we had the pleasure of donating 25,000 masks to our municipality of Orciano Pisano and another 5,000 to the local Misericordia.
