The FAT Project (Automated Factory for Transformers) aims to develop a highly automated production process, in line with Industry 4.0 principles, for the manufacturing of distribution transformers compliant with TIER 2 of EU Directive 548/2014. The process is structured into four activities:
- Planning for the conversion of the production process in terms of integrated logistics and smart manufacturing
- Design
- Development of a prototype transformer assembly machine
- Experimental testing
