Description
The DRD 3517G is a machining center with a mobile gantry and fixed table, fully enclosed and designed for high-precision machining operations. The working area of 3500×1700 mm includes 2 vacuum zones and can accommodate a 1700×1700 mm nesting table in layered LPM material. The 5-axis operating head features an HSK F63 spindle 8.6/10 kW at 24,000 RPM, liquid-cooled, mounted on a bi-rotary unit for maximum flexibility. The 8-position rotary tool changer is integrated on the beam. X and Y axes move via rack and pinion, while the Z axis uses a ball screw system, all driven by Delta brushless motors. Travel speeds reach up to 70 m/min with accelerations up to 4.5 m/s². The OSAI OPEN control system, all-in-one interface, BECKER 150 m³/h vacuum pump and centralized automatic lubrication complete a high-performance, safe and versatile machine.

The machine is enclosed in a cabin with opening doors for loading/unloading the workpiece. During machining both doors remain closed.
In the center of the cabin, a hinged door (rear side) is installed which, in pendulum machining mode, is opened to separate the two working areas.
WORK TABLE the working area is 3500×1700, consisting of a steel welded structure with 2 vacuum zones.
On the left side it is possible to install a nesting table (1700 × 1700 mm), made of 2 layers of 25 mm laminated LPM sandwich material, grid-patterned.
